Daniel M. McGilloway, Jr., CPA, CVA

Of Counsel

Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst with extensive experience in accounting, taxation and business consulting services including litigation and forensic services. Dan has consulted with numerous clients in tax planning, business strategic planning and in the purchase/sale of businesses. Dan has been appointed by the Superior Court to assist as a referee in several litigated matters before the Court and has done mediation work in disputed contractual matters.    

Gerald C. Ray, CPA

Managing Partner

Gerry Ray brings over 40 years of professional experience in audit, accounting, and taxation.  He has worked with companies large and small, from Los Angeles to Monterey County.  Gerry’s area of preference is taxation of all sorts.  He enjoys working in partnership with clients, helping them find a clear approach to work through any situation.

Patricia Kaufman, CPA, CGMA

Partner

Patricia Kaufman’s 30 years in accounting spans the agricultural, governmental, nonprofit, construction, and service industries.  She furnishes financial and compliance audit services and tax services to our clients, as well as engaging in peer reviews of other accounting firms and providing leadership to the California Society of Certified Public Accountants.  Patricia Kaufman is a member of the California Society of Certified Public Accountants Peer Review Committee.

Smriti Shrestha, CPA

Smriti Shrestha is a CPA with over 15 years of experience in public accounting. She has been providing various accounting, tax and business advisory services to closely-held businesses. She believes in building long-term relationships with her clients and working closely with them through any situation. Her goal has been to provide high quality professional service paired with a high level of personalized client service.

McGilloway, Ray, Brown & Kaufman is comprised of more than 20 qualified staff members.  We take great pride in our well-trained staff, which participates in a variety of training seminars and team member meetings to enhance the quality of our services and provide our clientele with the highest level of service possible.  We have two offices, located in Monterey and Salinas.  Our clients appreciate the convenience of having a location near their home or office.
